Cheap flights to Nottingham from Spain
Ryanair has announced its plans to launch two new summer routes from East Midlands Airport to various destinations in Spain.
The budget airline will begin three weekly services between this English airport and Barcelona Reus and Palma in July, at which point it will abandon its current schedule of flights to Paris Beauvais to facilitate changes.
Ryanair currently offers flights to 34 European destinations from East Midlands Airport, which is expected to increase the number of passengers it carries to two million annually.
East Midlands Airport, located between the cities of Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, is the 10th aviation hub in the UK in terms of passenger numbers.
Ryanair also announced this week that it will inaugurate up to 39 routes to and from Spanish airports in 2009, with its president, Michael O'Leary, suggesting that there are "enormous growth possibilities" in this part of England.
