The European Commission outlined last Wednesday (Sept. 21) more details of its proposal for the VII Framework Program of the European Union -Seventh Framework Program (FP7) - referring to R&D collaboration networks in Europe for the period 2007 to 2013, including its proposed Budget of more than 74.53 billion euros.
At the same time, nanosciences, nanotechnologies and materials production technologies, obtain their own thematic area of research with a proposed budget of 4.27 billion euros.
With this bet, the European Union tries to regain its competitiveness in the aforementioned fields.
